Back-to-School time has always been a big yearly milestone around my house. When I was kid I couldn’t wait to go get my school supplies. Coloured pencils, cute erasers, crayons. Crisp new notebooks and colourful binders. A new lunchbox. My favourite lunchbox ever was my Wonder Woman lunchbox with matching thermos.
Over the years even when I wasn’t in school myself and I didn’t have school aged kids I still saw September as a new start to my year. Summer was over and it was time to set new goals for the year.
I was so excited when I learned that Motts, Smuckers, and Pepperidge Farms Gold Fish have launched the Lunchbox Builder, a fun tool, where users can design their own lunchbox, add it to the gallery of lunchboxes, and view and rate other people’s lunchboxes. You can even print out and make your “lunchbox” to decorate your room!
Users who design a lunchbox are entered to win a lunch-inspired prize pack worth $150!

I subscribe! Today is the first day of school for my sons and I'll have to say that they were not really looking forward to starting back to school. Having said that, I think that they do like to shop for school supplies. There is something about a fresh box of crayons or a new back pack that makes you feel a little better about going back to school.
I am a subscriber. We always love the “girl time” shopping, trying on clothes, having lunch.

What I look forward to when school shopping is that is the time of year that my daughter decides to express herself differently from the previous year. Interesting sometimes to see what style she will go with at the beginning of each new school year!
My older kids look forward to clothes shopping and the chance to sock away some extra money. My younger two are excited about the supplies like colored pencils and folders.

Back-to-school shopping time is a busy, chaotic time for parents and kids alike, but it's fun to see the excitement that comes with looking for new outfits and various gadgets and school supplies.
